The " Puffin " is a full tang design with removable grip scales that are attached with socket head cap screws available at any hardware store in the event of breakage or wear. Three threaded bushings are pressed into the tang and project into sockets or counter bores as it were, that supports the grips in shear force. An added benefit to this is the ability to remove and thoroughly clean all parts. This type of attachment has been copied many times by others that wish to achieve the detail and superior performance our cutlery has always had.
